3 ways to.. beat those winter blues

1 Get outdoors.

It's tempting to hibernate when it's cold outside but natural daylight is a mood booster so try to get as much as possible to ward off SAD (seasonal affective disorder).

2 Stay active. One US study found that exercise was a more effective treatment for depression than antidepressants. Go on, let those feel-good hormones loose!

3 If all else fails, book that summer holiday to remind yourself there is light at the end of the tunnel - and picture yourself on the beach.
